The Mercedes-Benz SSK (W06) is a roadster built by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz between 1928 and 1932. The name is an abbreviation of Super Sport Kurz, German for "Super Sport Short", as it was a short wheelbase development of the Mercedes-Benz Modell S.

The Mercedes-Benz SS type has its official premiere at the German Grand Prix on 15th July 1928 at Nürburgring. The changeover to wet cylinder liners enables a larger cylinder bore, thus enhancing the displacement from 6.8 litres to 7.1 litres. Engine output increases to 140 hp/103 kW, later to 160 hp/118 kW and finally to 200 hp/147 kW with compressor.
